About Dr. Elaine Vowell 

Dr. Vowell believes dentistry is an awesome profession and continuing education is the key to quality care. In 2021, Dr. Vowell created the curriculum for the Your Best Shot training courses and actively launched course training in 2022. She is excited to have you join the Your Best Shot community and work alongside you to further your career in the dental field.

Dr. Vowell actively engages in dental education with the goal of continuous improvement and growth. In 2008, she earned the prestigious fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, completing 500 hours of dental continuing education. She is actively pursuing her Masters in the Academy of General Dentistry.  She continues her dedication to providing the most current and comprehensive dental care with her membership in the Spear Study Club. She is also a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska Dr. Vowell left the cold in her pursuit of higher education. Upon graduation from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 2003, she continued her education by completing a one-year post-doctoral education program in Florida, earning the American Dental Association certificate of Advanced Education in General Dentistry.

For the next four years, Dr. Vowell provided care for sailors in the US Navy.  In 2008, she moved to Charlotte, NC where she joined her former colleague and friend, Dr. Pak at Ayrsley Family Dentistry. She and Dr. Pak have since grown their practice and feel honored to routinely serve families in the greater Charlotte area.

When she isn’t at work or teaching, Dr. Vowell keeps busy with her husband and their four wonderful children and her ill-behaved puggle.
